Ma Yoder’s Country Diner

The Edmonton-Metcalfe Chamber of Commerce hosted the fifth ribbon cutting of 2026 for Ma Yoder’s Country Diner on July 22^nd. A packed parking lot was the best indicator of a successful ribbon cutting as passersby witnessed last-minute preparations in front of the diner.

There were restaurant patrons, family, friends, business associates, chamber members, and community leaders in attendance. Chamber Vice President, Tareena Horton, welcomed the crowd and shared her appreciation on behalf of the community to the Yoder family for opening their business in Metcalfe County. Tareena introduced owner, Ella Yoder, who also expressed her appreciation for all who came out to be a part of their ribbon cutting and how blessed they have been by all the support shown to them since they opened the restaurant in April. She personally thanked Jason Neighbors and her Business Consultant, Briley Cropper, who she stated were wonderful to work with and a major help in getting the business off the ground and moving forward.

The Chamber Secretary rounded up the guests for the official ribbon-cutting photo, and Chamber Director, Melody Baker, presented the ceremonial scissors. Ella Yoder happily cut the ribbon, and everyone was invited inside to enjoy pizza samples, desserts, and refreshments. The restaurant was packed with everyone enjoying their visits to Ma Yoder’s Country Diner located at 3800 Greensburg Road in Edmonton.

Elmer and Ella Yoder and their four children are all involved in the restaurant, and you will see them all at the diner, as family time is very important to them. Currently, Ma Yoder’s Country Diner employs fifteen people, the Yoder family provides jobs to the community and offers delicious home-cooked meals. We are pleased to welcome Ma Yoder’s Country Diner.
