Fatal crash in Munfordville

A crash that occurred Monday claimed the life of a Hart County man.
The two-vehicle collision occurred just after 12 p.m. on February 10 along KY-88, at the intersection of Hardyville Road and Birchwood Lane, near Munfordville First United Methodist Church.
According to a Kentucky State Police (KSP) press release, a preliminary investigation indicated that Philip Hodson, age 70 of Canmer, was traveling eastbound along Hardyville Road. His vehicle, a Chevrolet Trail Blazer, crossed the centerline into the westbound lane and collided with a Ford van driven by Edin Favier.
Hodson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner.
Favier and two passengers in his van were taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Two other passengers in the van were airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital.
The ongoing investigation is being led by Detective Bo Hubbard. He was assisted at the scene by Hart County EMS, Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County Coroner’s Office, Munfordville Fire Department, and other KSP personnel.
