Edmonson Wins Big Over Clinton County

The Edmonson County Wildcats played their first home game on the new field on Aug. 28, 2026. The Wildcats did not let down the fans, walking away with a 54-34 win over Clinton County.

The Wildcats drew first blood against the Bulldogs with the first touchdown scored by #1 Roger Harris. The aggression was visible with some physical conflict between the two teams. The first quarter ended with a score of Wildcats 12, Clinton County 0.

The Bulldogs battled back in the second quarter, scoring to bring the game back to 6 to 12. The Bulldogs caught a interception and scored a 40 plus yard touchdown , after the two point kick the score was tied up 20 to 20. Edmonson had a slew of facemask calls and ended the first half with Edmonson 20 to Clinton 28.

In the beginning of the third quarter, Clinton scored again, bringing the score to 34 to 20. This was the last score that the Wildcats would allow Clinton County. The Wildcats pushed back, and they pushed hard.  They started moving the ball downfield and scored. The third quarter ended with EC- 28 to Clinton 34.

In the beginning of the fourth quarter, Edmonson ended up tackling Clinton County in the Wildcats end zone, resulting in a Wildcat touchdown and tying the score 34 to 34.  The Wildcats got a turnover, and they could not be stopped. #1 Roger Harris made a 50-yard run to score for Edmonson again. The fourth quarter ended with Edmonson 54 to Clinton 34.
