Student Interns Help to Freshen up Brownsville

The City of Brownsville only has so many hands normally to complete all the things that need to be done but this summer they got a few extra hands.

Student interns through Three Corners Services helped out Brownsville City to complete some much-needed minor projects.

Three Corners Services offered student interns for summer work. The students get to earn some money and more than that, they get to earn needed work experience without costing Brownsville any money. This helps interns transition to be good employees. Funding for their payroll is paid through the Three Corners Employment and reimburse by Office of Vocational Rehab. three Corners Services help students to transition from high school to further their education or they help them learn what makes a good employee. Three Corners is in 21 high schools state wide but began in Edmonson County.

Brownsville took advantage of the opportunity and have been working to complete some improvements that had slipped through the cracks. Students have been busy painting the fire hydrants and repainting stripes in parking areas. Using basic working materials, the students have helped to complete several minor improvements throughout the city.
