Staff Report

MORGANTOWN — The Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce has announced “All American Christmas” as the theme for this year’s Christmas parade, tying the annual holiday tradition to the celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

The 2026 Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, with Medal of Honor recipient Don Jenkins serving as this year’s Grand Marshal.

Parade lineup will take place at Morgantown Elementary School beginning at noon, with judging scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. A staging map will be released closer to the event.

There is no cost to participate in the parade, and no advance registration is required. Entries will be staged in the order they arrive. Candy will also be permitted during this year’s parade.

The “All American Christmas” theme gives participants an opportunity to combine traditional Christmas decorations with patriotic touches as the community celebrates the holiday season during the nation’s 250th anniversary year.

The parade is expected to once again feature floats, Christmas lights, music and other holiday entries as families and community members gather in Morgantown for the annual celebration.
