Edmonson County took on Laure County on Oct. 3, 2025. The Wildcats started strong with several big tackles to stop Laure’s momentum then on Edmonson’s first snap the ball was fumbled and Larue recovered near the 15-yard line.
The next play found Edmonson back on defense and made a great tackle by #10 Andre Hunter and moving Larue back a yard. On the 2nd down the Hawks completed a 16-yard run to score the first touchdown of the game. The first quarter ended with a score of Wildcats 0 to Larue 6.
In the second quarter Larue scored again with a 57-yard run and the extra points bringing the score to 14 Larue to Edmonson 0 at half time.
In the third quarter Edmonson was making progress moving the ball down the field until a holding call was made moving the Cats back and then a delay of game. This seemed to take the wind out of the Cats. Larue took the advantage and scored again. The Wildcats battled back hard. With 26 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, #22 Blayne Deweese scored the Cats first points of the night. Bringing the score to Larue 21 to Edmonson 6.
In the fourth quarter Larue attempted a flea flicker pass that refs ruled no good. Larue did make another touchdown, and the kick was good bringing the score to Larue 28 to Edmonson 6. Laure made another touchdown with an over 90-yard run and a kick. Edmonson answered back with 31 seconds on the clock #6 Sawyer Simmons made a throw to #14 Will Saling, for a touchdown bringing the score to Edmonson 12 to Larue 35 for a final score.
