Homecoming Night Doesn’t End Well for the Wildcats

Sept. 19, 2025, Edmonson County faced Hart County for the Homecoming football game.
Edmonson County came out strong with the first touchdown of the night made by #1 Tristen Muse. Hart County put in a good effort but some missed passes allowed the Wildcats to stay ahead in the first quarter.
Hart County battled back in the second quarter. Neither team was afraid to make hits tonight which kept the game exciting to watch. Hart County gained about 20 yards in one play which moved the Raiders into position to move the ball with a pass throw to #7 Dalton Garmon, and tied the game, ending the first half of the game with a score of 7 to 7.

In the third quarter Hart County #15 Jacob Shoulders made a pass from the 55-yard line to #13 Kannan Allen on the 3-yard line. The Raiders pushed through to score and then made the extra point, bringing the score 7 EC to 14 Hart.
#1 Muse (Edmonson County) made an over 35-yard run to land on the one-yard line. The next play saw Muse score the touchdown and #8 Colton White kicked for the extra point to tie the game again.

In the fourth quarter Hart County fumbled the ball and Edmonson picked up control. Edmonson lost a turnover by inches to Hart County. Hart County’s #7 Dalton Garmon took a hard hit and left the game. #2 Jake Crump from Hart County made a touchdown and #15 Shoulders scored the two points and brought the score to 22- Hart County to 14-Edmonson. The Raiders won the game.
Lola Ramsey was crowned Homecoming Queen. She is a senior and the daughter of Robert and Sonja Ramsey and was escorted by Julian Barnes.

Junior princess was Kylie Williams daughter of Lauren Russell, escorted by Tyler Wilson.
Sophomore princess was Bree Johnson, daughter of Courtney Johnson, escorted by Lucas Kiper. Freshman princess was Emma Hight daughter of Jeremy and Amanda Hight, escorted by Braxton Moody.
The attendants were Kyrock Elementary students Evie Blake Haycraft, daughter of Preston and Michelle Haycraft escorted by Gatlin Dean Esters, son of Derek and Morgan Esters. Adalynn Whittinghill, daughter of Kyle and Brittany Whittinghill, escorted by Owen Charles Wilson, son of Luke and Bre-Anne Wilson.
