It may have been a rainy, dreary day, but that didn’t stop the folks in Summer Shade from celebrating the 8th annual Founders Day.
Of course, a couple of things had to be cancelled, such as the car show and some of the games, but everything else just moved inside the firehouse.
We want to congratulate Summer Shade’s newly elected honorary mayor, Mr. Morris Dobson.
The event booths were set up along the sides and at the doors. The food was good (it always is), the music was enjoyable, and everyone seemed to be having a good time despite the rain.
Let’s all hope for a dry day in 2026 for the 9th annual Founders Day.
Here are a few photos from this year.
