Ones Leroyce Barlow
EDMONTON – Ones Leroyce Barlow, better known as Gdaddy, was born into this world on October 1, 1954, to Otis and Nettie Buckner Barlow. He departed this life on April 3, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
Leroyce was a member of the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church. Leroyce graduated from Metcalfe County High School in 1973. He was a high school standout in football, basketball, and track. He got his nickname “Lizard” for being extremely fast. He served in the United States Army and did a tour in Korea. He received an Honorable Discharge. He was employed at R.R. Donnellys in Glasgow, KY, for 27 years. Leroyce enjoyed playing darts, dominoes,10,000 dice game, fishing, and playing the lottery.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Linda Barlow; brothers, Billy Barlow, J.D. Barlow, and Tim Barlow; his sister, Magdalene Richardson Smith; a niece, Vickie Carter; and nephew, James “Twiddle” Twyman.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted daughters, Danielle Barlow (Poppy Franklin) and Mary Pool (Todd); beloved grandsons, Jaden Franklin, Tristan Franklin, and Dylan Dillman; sister, Joyce Driver (Robert); brother, Fred Barlow (Patty); sister-in-law, Judy Walker (Tommy); a special niece and her children, Nickki, Nikos, and Jelani.; and a very special pet and friend, Charlie Brown Barlow. He also left a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Leroyce Barlow will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and after 8:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Butler Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted to the care of Mr. Barlow.
