On Jan. 28, 2025, Edmonson County High School celebrated 50 years of Lady Cats Basketball. The program has been very successful, with 576 program wins, District Championship wins in 1994, 1995, 1998, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2023, an All-A regional championship, and a trip all the way to the Final Four in 2018. To say the work and pride in this program have paid off would be an understatement.
Former players and coaches came out to receive recognition for their time as Lady Cats. As the booming voice of the Wildcats, Judge Exe. Scott Lindsey, called out all the names of past players and coaches who were present. The small crowd thundered into applause, showing just how much the Lady Cats mean to the county.
