Four of Hart County’s outstanding 4-H youth members recently earned top honors in the Kentucky 4-H State Communications Contest and Written Communications Contest.

Asa Rucker, with his demonstration on “Bullet Velocity,” earned 1st place in the Junior Shooting Sports Demonstration category. He showcased his exceptional skills and knowledge in this competitive field.

Ava England, with her demonstration on “How to Take a Soil Sample,” received a high score, taking home a Blue Ribbon in the category of Junior Agriculture Demonstration.

In demonstrating her superior writing and communication abilities, Briarlee Fraze placed 1st in the Senior Press Release category.

Bayley Fraze highlighted her creative talents with a 3rd place finish in Junior Poetry at the 4-H State Written Communications Contest.

“These kids have proudly represented Hart County and Hart County 4-H at the state communication contest,” said Julia Wilson, Hart County Extension Agent of 4-H Youth Development. “Having the ability to speak in public and clearly express your thoughts on paper is a skill that will serve these 4-H members their entire lifetime. Hart County should be proud that we have been so positively represented.”

The Kentucky 4-H State Communications Contest and Written Communications Contest allow youth to develop and define their communication abilities. On behalf of Jobe Publishing, Inc., the Hart County News-Herald congratulates these talented 4-H youth members for their dedication and hard work in achieving great success.
