Joyce Juanita Walden

CAVE CITY – Joyce Juanita Walden, age 84, peacefully departed this life at her home on Monday, October 9, 2023.  The Barren County native was born on October 18, 1938, to the late Charles and Anice Douglas Slaughter.  She was married to Carl Walden, who preceded her in death.

Joyce was a member of Rolling Hills United Baptist Church and was an employee of Sorenson Manufacturing.

She leaves to honor her memory– her daughter, Pam Walden Staples (James) of Cave City; granddaughter, Dana Wells of Cave City; great-granddaughter, Chelsey Sherfey (Dustin) of Summer Shade; great-great-grandsons, Wyatt Sherfey and Waylon Sherfey; and sister, Judy Duvall (Tom). She was also preceded in death by her sister, Janet Cook.

Interment will be in the Walden Cemetery.
