Ricky Wyatt

AUSTIN, KY – Ricky Wyatt, 70, passed away Sunday, June 28th, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.

Ricky was born in Barren County, KY, on December 19, 1955, a son of the late Wellna Neal and Homer Evans Wyatt.

On February 17, 1982, he married Brenda Burgess in Lafayette, TN. Ricky was the owner of Wyatt Construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed truck pulls, playing cards, shooting pool, enjoying life, and spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He was a member of Fountain Run Old Missionary Baptist Church.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Brenda Wyatt, of Austin, KY; a daughter, Kellie Ray, and husband, Ryan, of Elizabethtown, KY; two sons,, Matt Wyatt, and wife, Cristy, of Lafayette, TN, and Ben Wyatt, of Haywood, KY; five grandchildren, Clay Wyatt, Kenna Wyatt, Mason Wyatt, Lynnley Ray, and Riggs Ray.

Ricky is also survived by a brother, Riley “Bud” Wyatt, and wife, Janet, of Glasgow, KY.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Wyatt, and sister, Sue Kreicher, and her husband, Jim.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 175 Main Street, Fountain Run, KY, with burial to follow at Fountain Run Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 30th, from 4-8 p.m. at 175 Main Street, Fountain Run, KY, and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at 175 Main Street, Fountain Run, KY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ricky’s memory may be made to Fountain Run Cemetery.
