Special to the Herald-News
The Second Annual Pancakes for Paws was held on Saturday, November 2nd at the City Grill. Diane Blythe who owns and operates the City Grill had the idea last year to raise money for the animal shelter. her granddaughters, and volunteers. They served up delicious breakfast combos to a large crowd. 100% of the profits went to support the Metcalfe County Animal Shelter.
Blythe posted the following comment on the ‘Grills’ Facebook page, “Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to our volunteers and all those who joined us in supporting the Metcalfe County Animal Shelter at our annual Pancakes for Paws. We are thrilled to announce that our collective efforts resulted in $1,468 raised. We would also like to thank Amanda Gibson, Charlotte Atkins, Lisa Boswell, and Andrea Smith for their kindness in donating baked goods to our bake sale.”
