Meredith Receives Kentucky Chamber MVP Award

State Rep. Michael Meredith was recognized with the Kentucky Chamber’s 2026 MVP Award for his leadership during the 2026 Kentucky General Assembly.

Meredith received the award from Kentucky Chamber Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Kate Shanks and Manager of Public Affairs Annie Santos.

The award recognizes legislators who advance policies supporting Kentucky’s business community, including sponsoring priority legislation, leading on key policy issues and supporting measures intended to strengthen the state’s business climate.

During the 2026 legislative session, Meredith championed House Bill 306, legislation aimed at strengthening criminal trespassing statutes to improve workplace safety. The measure was ultimately passed as part of House Bill 521.

According to the Kentucky Chamber, legislation passed during the 2026 General Assembly is estimated to save Kentucky businesses $1.564 billion, or approximately $911 per private-sector employee.

Meredith was among a select group of lawmakers recognized for their work on legislation addressing the Chamber’s priorities.
