Gregory Edward Wood

SUMMER SHADE – Gregory Edward Wood, 52, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Glasgow KY on May 25, 1973, to the late Dianne Smith Wood.

Mr. Wood enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horses.

Survivors include his brothers, Tim Strode, David Gibbons (Terri); niece, Macie Strode; nephews, Trae and Kyle (Amber); great nieces and nephews, Kloe, Xander, and Lenaya Gordon; aunts, Bobby Smith and Jean Franks; good friend, Don Gordon; and several cousins.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

In honoring Gregory’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation, and there are no services scheduled at this time.

McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
