Walter Ray Shipman

GLASGOW – Walter Ray Shipman, 79, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was the son of the late Roy Shipman and Berdie Oldfield Shipman. He proudly served his country and retired from the United States Army.

He is survived by two sons, Timothy Shipman and Michael Shipman; three grandchildren, Michael Shipman Jr., Alisha Shipman, and Jesse Shipman; and one brother, Terry Rogers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Shipman.

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. On the day of the service. DAV Chapter 20 will be providing military honors.
