Mary Louise Morrison
GLASGOW – Mary Louise Morrison, age 74, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Mary was born on November 20, 1950, in Bay City, MI, to the late James Woodrow Schumann and Ellen Schumann. Mary was an avid runner and quilter and will be greatly missed by the host of friends she made in these communities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nathan Ray Morrison, and her first great-grandchild, Layne, whom she is no doubt rejoicing with in Heaven today.
Mary leaves behind to keep her memory alive her children, Richard Shirley of Tompkinsville, KY, Anita Fields and husband Greg of Edmonton, KY, Ellen Shirley of Glasgow, KY, Denise Wilkinson and husband Will of Glasgow, KY; her grandchildren, Chandler Taylor, Haley Shirley and husband Ricky, Chandra Ogles and husband Ethan, Ramie Wilkinson and wife Taylor, Nathan Fields and wife, Micah, Brandon Fields and wife, Kayce, Trevor Fields and wife, Briley, and Marisa Young and husband Acea. She also leaves her favorites of all, her great-grandchildren, Addy, Ezra, Isaiah, Layla, Cooper, Tate, Noah, Maxton, Kase, Ryder, and Willabee.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, 801 North Race Street, Glasgow, KY, with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia, KY. Family requests visitation from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Piecemakers Quilt Guild, P O Box 113, Edmonton, Kentucky 42129 (or left at the funeral home), to support their Veterans and other quilt projects. These were important to Mary, and she loved to donate her time and materials to these causes. Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, Burkesville, KY in charge of funeral arrangements.
