John Clinton Poteet, III

GLASGOW – John Clinton Poteet, III, 60, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025. He was the son of the late John Clinton Poteet, Jr. and Barbara Jewell Franklin Poteet.

He is survived by three children, John Clinton Poteet, IV (Misty), Chastity Wallace (Joshua), and Ellis “Bo” Carnhan; eight grandchildren, Alex Poteet, Katie Poteet, Mya Wallace, Addilyn Wallace, Waylon Wallace, Emma Carnhan, Hannah Carnhan, and Mason Carnhan; two sisters, Karen Thompson (Emmett Barnett) and Christie Creek; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Poteet, and one sister, Rita Wilson.

Funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:am Wednesday until for funeral.
