Elsie Pearl Parke
EDMONTON – Elsie Pearl Parke, 88, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at TJ Samson Hospital. She was born on March 24, 1937, to the late Enos Henry England and Alta Shirley England. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Parke; grandson, Kevin Aidren Parke; brother, Delain England; and her sisters, Vedus Mosby and Christine Harris.
Elsie retired after 25 years of service at Metcalfe County Healthcare, where she touched the lives of many. She was also an active member of the Edmonton Worship Center. A woman of varied interests, Elsie loved to read and listen to gospel music. She found joy in working on word search puzzles, nurturing her love for flowers, and expressing her creativity through sewing.
She is survived by her loving children, Danny Aidren Parke, Darlene Parke Batcher (Rev. John), and Deborah Parke Walbert; her grandchildren, Karen Renee’ Batcher, James Aaron Walbert (Rachel), and Jessica Ann Walbert; great-grandchildren, Bryson Lee Walbert, Jordan Blake Walbert, and Alice Dawn Walbert; and special caregiver, Emily Perkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Elsie Parke will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 1, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday and after 8:00 AM Monday until time of the service.
