Wilma Dean Rhinehart
EDMONTON – Wilma Dean Rhinehart, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at her home. She was born on December 11, 1954, in Tompkinsville, to the late Benton and Ester Strode Vibbert. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry “Bud” Rhinehart, and her siblings, Ruby, Sylvia, and Bobby.
Wilma retired after a remarkable 30-year career with Sumitomo, where her strong work ethic was a testament to her character. She was not only known for her unwavering commitment to her job, but also for opening her heart and home to those around her. Wilma loved her family deeply, often fostering gatherings at her table where friends and loved ones could enjoy a meal and share laughter.
Her interests brought her immense joy; she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, finding peace in fishing, and the challenge of working on jigsaw puzzles. Wilma also cherished the simple pleasures of coloring with her grandchild, Dena, and had a special bond with her beloved grand dog, Millie Ray.
She is survived by her daughter, Treasa Lynn Barton (Tony); godson, Chris “Woody” Bennett (Teresa); six grandchildren, Michael (Nancy), Kaylie (Payton), Beth (Taylor), Jeffery (Stefanie), Cameron (Jared Blythe), and Jack Barton; eleven great-grandchildren, Myles, Dena, Gracie, Declan, Peyton, Kimber, Jase, Trayson, Tesalyn, Sammie, and Sophia; sister, Eva Robertson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Vibbert; and brother-in-law, David Rhinehart; special people, Melissa, Steve, Michelle, Tammi, Shelia, Gary, and Margie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Wilma Rhinehart will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Friday here at the funeral home until time of the service.
