Robert Wayne Spillman

GLASGOW – Robert Wayne Spillman, 71, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Signature Healthcare Center in Glasgow. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late L.C. Spillman and Quenia Virginia Gregory Spillman.

Wayne was a retired material handler for Dollar General and a tool craftsman who loved to refurbish and reclaim discarded items. He was a gardener and an avid birdwatcher, with a yard full of birdhouses. His family describes him as a loving husband, devoted daddy, and a doting grandfather who fulfilled their every want and need. He was also a member of the Hiseville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila; two daughters, Sarah Spillman (Ced Curd) and Jenny Key all of Glasgow; seven grandchildren, Hunter Key (Kaylee), Sawyer Key, Madi Schultz, Gryder Carroll, Emma Simmons, Kali Curd, and Cam Curd; one great-grandchild, River Lane Key; three brothers, David Spillman (Diana), Mike Spillman (Debbie), and Keith Spillman (Marla); two sisters, Shirley Williams (Buddy) and Barbara Hurt; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Spillman, and his wife, Sandra, and one niece, Cynthia Logsdon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
