William “Billy” Thomas

GLASGOW – William “Billy” Thomas, age 76, departed this life on Monday, June 16, 2025, at his residence. The Barren County native was born on July 11, 1948, to the late Kathryn Myers and Woodrow Thomas. He leaves behind a loving companion and best friend of over twenty years, Sue Thacker.

Billy proudly served our nation in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was a simple man of the Christian faith and worked as an electrician for many years. He enjoyed the thrill of trading and loved exploring flea markets. His true passion was gathering unique cars, knives, and coins, each one a special find that added to his cherished collection.

Besides his companion, he leaves his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, extended family members, and a host of friends to honor his memory.

The interment will be at 2 PM, Friday, June 20, 2025, in Hays Cemetery with graveside military honors by the Barren County DAV.
