Leroy Marvin Gassaway

CAVE CITY – Leroy Gassaway, age 75, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was a native of Metcalfe County and a Veteran of the United States Army. He loved reading his Bible and attended Coral Hill Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Gassaway; his parents, Tilford and Emma Gassaway; brothers, Donald and Gerald Gassaway; and sister, Irene Bowles.

He is survived by two stepdaughters, Vickie and Darlene Moore; one niece, Tammy Milby (Kevin); two nephews, Jerry Dale Gassaway (Charlette) and Danny Whitlow (Michelle); and a sister-in-law, Hellen Gassaway.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of NHC Healthcare for the wonderful care they provided to Leroy in his time there over the last 5 years.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the New Liberty Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Services are under the direction of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, KY.
