Charles Bertram Shirley

GLASGOW – Bro. Charles Bertram Shirley, 76, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at NHC Health Care. He was the son of the late Curt and Laura Janes Shirley. He was a member of East Fork Missionary Baptist Church and was saved as a young boy at Rock Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Brandon Shirley (Jamie); one daughter, Ashley Vibbert (Jessie); four grandchildren, Tyler Shirley, Corbin Vibbert, Connor Vibbert, and Cassidy Vibbert; three brothers, Junior Shirley (Shirley), Fred Shirley (Jeaniene), and Philip Shirley (Margaret); two sisters, Christine Bennett and Brenda Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy Shirley, Bobby Shirley, James Shirley, Earl Dunham Shirley, and Paul David Shirley; two sisters, Dee Burris and Pauline Shirley.

Funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bragg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday and after 9:00 am on Wednesday until time for services at the funeral home.
