Clifton Wayne Wheeler

GLASGOW – Clifton Wayne Wheeler, 68, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was the son of the late Richard “Dick” Wheeler and Eva Jackson Wheeler. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Crossland Community Church. Clifton worked for Witty’s Muffler shop for 46 years. He had a love for motor sports and was an avid dirt car racer from the 1970s to 2006.

He is survived by two children, Anthony Wheeler (Alysia) of Glasgow and Amy Gootee (Shannon) of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Korbin Parker, Khloe Cross, Lancyn Wheeler, and Keragin Gootee; two brothers, Richard Wheeler (Ann), Charles Wheeler (Judy); two sisters, Sandra Wheeler (Mike) and Tammy Pulley (Bill).

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Wheeler and Tony Wheeler.

A visitation will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 11:00 am-7:00 pm at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
