The 2026 Harvest on the Square brought a beautiful fall day and a strong sense of community to downtown Morgantown on Saturday, September 26.

The annual event kicked off at 10 a.m. and continued until 2 p.m., with Main Street filled with residents and visitors enjoying shopping, food, fellowship and activities for all ages.

More than 80 vendors and food trucks lined Main Street in front of the Butler County Courthouse and continued down passed the Morgantown Bank.  Additional activities could be found along Ohio Street, where a car show was held throughout the day.

Children enjoyed inflatable attractions donated by Delta Faucets, while numerous vendors offered fall favorites, including colorful mums.  The Granville Allen VFW Post #5837 was on hand selling mums and raffle tickets for a gun raffle benefitting Cookies with Commanders.  Mums were also being sold to benefit Special Olympics with the fundraiser organized by Collin Tomes and his Mom Brookie.

For many, Harvest on the Square was more than shopping and activities. It provided an opportunity for friends, neighbors, and former acquaintances to reconnect and spend time together.

With temperatures reaching a comfortable 76 degrees and clear, beautiful weather throughout the event, children could be seen laughing and playing while families visited with one another, enjoyed food and browsed the many vendor booths.

The car show that was held on Ohio Street added another attraction to the day’s festivities with awards presented by Michael Capps. 1st place winner in Jeeps was Jimmy Gaskey with 2nd place going to Dennis Hunt. Chris Moore won 1st place in Trucks and 1st place in cars went to Christy Havens, 2nd to Mac H. and 3rd to Darren.

From local vendors and food trucks to children’s activities, fundraising efforts and the car show, Harvest on the Square once again gave the community an opportunity to come together and enjoy the simple pleasures of a fall Saturday in downtown Morgantown.
