The Edmonson County Public Library has officially opened its doors at a new temporary location in the former 5/6 Center, located at 191 W Center Street. This move comes as the library’s main building undergoes renovations and updates.

The library staff has worked very hard to prepare the temporary space, setting it up and decorating it to create a warm, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all visitors. Despite the move, all the usual activities and programs are planned to continue without interruption.

Although the smaller space means not all books can be displayed as of now, there are still many to choose from. There’s also a children’s playroom filled with books and toys to keep little ones happy and entertained during their visit. In addition to books and movies, important services like computers, fax machines, and printing remain fully available. The bookmobile also continues to run on its regular schedule, bringing books and services to different parts of the community.

Visitors should enter through the main entrance, door A, and walk through the office area to access the library section. The library expects to remain at this temporary location for about 4 to 6 months, though this may be longer depending on the progress of renovations and repairs on their building. Throughout this transition, the staff is committed to making the temporary space cozy and inviting to ensure everyone feels welcome.

The Edmonson County Public Library remains dedicated to maintaining smooth service and providing a family-friendly place for the community.
