Maggie Leona Edwards
HARDYVILLE – Maggie Leona Edwards, age 96, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at NHC Healthcare. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with family. She and Coywood loved having fish fry’s at their house for everyone to enjoy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Coywood Edwards; her parents, Watt and Dora Houtchins; sister, Lillian Riordan; brothers, Tommy Houtchins, Elza Houtchins, Hulen Houtchins, and Wallace Ward.
She is survived by nephews, Gary Riordan, Mike Houtchins, Ronnie Riordan, Sammy Riordan, David Houtchins, and Cliff Houtchins.
Funeral services will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2 PM, with burial to follow in Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM and from 8 AM until time of service on Wednesday.

I loved Leona and coywood. My mom was Sherry Taylor, Kathleen Taylor’s daughter and Kathleen was Coywoods sister. I remember going to their farm as a child and seeing Ma n Shorty’s house on the farm and had the best country cooking ever. they had the biggest watermelons and vegetables and I loved coys bird would sit on his shoulder all day. I think of them often. Wish I could have visited more often
