Bobby Eugene Burgess

GLASGOW – Bobby Eugene Burgess, 73, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He was the son of the late Haskel Burgess and Vic C. Agers Burgess. He was retired from the Barren County Board of Education. He was a dedicated bus driver for over 40 years. Bobby loved working on the farm and tinkering with his tractors.

He is survived by his son, Steven Burgess (Melinda); four grandchildren, Chase Dyer, Hunter Walden, Lane Burgess (Candace), and Logan Walden (Jessica); five great-grandchildren; and nephew, Harold Brown (Melissa).

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Michele Burgess; sister, Katherine Brown; brother-in-law, Bobby Brown; and niece, Judy McCoy.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Tracy church cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
