Barbara Jean Bryant

GLASGOW – Barbara Jean Bryant, age 84, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was a native of Hart County. She enjoyed spending time with her family above all things. She liked to take drives through the countryside. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Grethal Coffey; one daughter, Vicky Higgs; brother, Bobby Coffey; and half-brother, Billy Coffey.

She is survived by her four children, Donita Wilson (Mark), Ray Bryant (Jenny), Kendell Bryant-Plato (Ward), and Tracy Lacy; 10 grandchildren, Derrick Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Joshua Bryant, Brandon Bryant, Desiree Bryant, April Bryant, Brittany Lacy, Dylan Lacy, and David Higgs; several great-grandchildren; a special friend and caregiver, Wayne Mesker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2 PM at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Winn Funeral Home from 4-8 PM and from 9 AM until time of the service on Wednesday.
