Zachary Lee Raney

GLASGOW – Zachary Lee Raney, 19, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025. A native of Barren County, he was the son of Jeremy Lee Raney and Jeanna Sue Ready Raney.

Zach was a graduate of Barren County High School and was presently enjoying his position as an EMT with the Barren-Metcalfe County Ambulance Service. He had also recently joined the Haywood Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his parents, Jeremy and Jeanna Raney; two brothers, Matthew and Aidan Raney; paternal grandparents, Judith and Ricky Raney of Tompkinsville; maternal grandparents, Trina Ready of Horse Cave, and Doug and Phyllis Ready of Horse Cave; aunts and uncles, Nathan and Amanda Brown, Jennifer Salgado, Jeremy Ready, and John and Jennifer Ready; along with a number of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
