Frances Elaine Wray

GLASGOW – Frances Elaine Wray, age 77, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.

Born on May 13, 1948, in Burkesville, KY, Frances was the daughter of the late Jessie James Bow and Euldean Bessie Bow. She spent most of her life in Glasgow, where she was known for her kindness, bright smile, and deep love for her family and community. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Thomas Wray.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Amy L. Gregg, and son-in-law, Robert S. Gregg; and their daughters, Taylor O. Gregg, Kalee E. Gregg, and Emma K. Gregg. She is also survived by her daughter, Amanda B. Wray, and Amanda’s children, Turner W. Klapeke and Mabel D. Klapeke. In addition, she is survived by her brother, James B Bow, and his family.

Frances retired from NHC in Glasgow, where she greeted visitors with warmth and care from the front desk for many years. She had a passion for growing flowers and creating beautiful bouquets, cherished every moment spent with her family, and was a devoted member of Glenview Christian Church, where she actively served her church family.

She will be remembered most for her joyful spirit, generous heart, and her way of making everyone feel welcome. Frances always had a smile to share, loved helping others, and especially delighted in spoiling her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

A memorial service will be held on July 10, 2025, from 2 pm-4 pm at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, KY. Flowers are welcome, as are contributions to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Frances. https://donorservices.alz.org
