Another Little Free Library has come to Butler County.  The newest is at North Butler Elementary and on Monday June 16th some of the community showed up for the ribbon cutting.  There are around 50 Little Free Libraries in the state of Kentucky and Butler County has them spread all through the county.  There is one at the Owl Academy, the Butler County Health Department, Corner Market in Round Hill, across the street from Dollar Market and another in Rochester.  Coming in a few months there will be one at the Early Childhood Learning Center at the old MCC building.

The Little Free Library is a program where a child can come take a book and share a book.  Their mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Library book-exchange boxes.

Christy Havens, NBES Librarian asked a few of her top readers to come and attend the ribbon cutting, Remington and Bryleigh Woodward, Trey Wilson, Sadie and Gabe Prentice and Brenlee McElwain.  These young men and women will be able to continue reading all summer.  Come and check out all of these Little Free Libraries that Butler County has to offer.

This Little Free Library was made possible by the following organizations, NBES Library, Three Rivers Literacy and Butler County Family Resource Center.  If you would like information or would like to know where a box is located at you can go to their website at littlefreelibrary.org.
