William R. Whittom

GLASGOW – William R. Whittom, 63,  passed away May 13, 2025, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

The Naylor, Mo. native was a publisher for Whittom Publishing Company as well as a published author. He was also an Army National Guard veteran, an avid motorcycle rider, a member of the Patriot Patrol, and a member of the Barren River Rod and Gun Club. He liked to travel in his R.V. and camp, and was also a Skywarn Storm Spotter and member of the Amateur Ham Radio Emergency Service. He was an avid talker to all his family and friends. He was a loyal member of his Church of God congregation and a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose Calvert Whittom, and in 2016, by his loving wife, Sharon Elaine Whittom.

Survivors include sisters, Phyllis Middleton, Donna Coffey, and Rose Taylor (S.T.), and brother, Charles Whittom (late Young), and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 3:00 at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery, with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until 2:45 P.M. at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in order to help with funeral expenses and can be made at the funeral home.
