Jo Anna Costello Hurt

OWENSBORO – Jo Anna Costello Hurt, 65, formerly of Edmonton, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Owensboro. Jo Anna was born December 10, 1959, to the late Elsie Compton Nance. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Allen Costello.

Jo Anna is survived by her son, Jonathan Young (Caroline) of Houston, Texas; one granddaughter, Josephine Young of Houston; three brothers, Charles Costello (Sandra) of Edmonton, Steve Costello of Glasgow, Randy Nance (Shari) of Edmonton; five sisters, Robin Lawson (Roger) of Glasgow, Judy Warren (Larry) of Berea, Betsy Williams (Jay) of Scottsville, Debbie Costello of Somerset, and Amy Nance of Glasgow. She is also survived by her aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation was chosen, and her cremains will be interred beside her mother in the Jeffries Cemetery. A private memorial service will be held later.
