Rev. Junior Huff

EDMONTON – Rev. Junior Huff, 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Summer Shade, KY, to the late Sylvester and Hallie Harper Huff.

Rev. Huff was a minister and bus driver for Metcalfe County School District. He loved to farm, hunt, fish, and watch westerns. He was a member of Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Davis Huff of Edmonton; two daughters, Tracy Shoopman of Glasgow and Rachel Young of Georgetown; two sons, Tony Huff (Amber) of Edmonton and Anthony Huff of Edmonton; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews along with a host of friends also survive.

He is preceded in death by four sisters, Marie Pedigo, Fern Bunch, Joyce Harrison, and Gayle Capps; three brothers, Joe Huff, Cecil Huff, and Wendell Huff.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lick Branch Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue after 8:00 AM Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
