Danny Lee Birge

EDMONTON – Danny Lee Birge, 67, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at his residence. He was born on October 12, 1957, in Tompkinsville, KY, to the late Lester and Ernie Turner Birge.

Danny enjoyed fishing, singing, camping, and racing cars.

Survivors include his wife, Carlan Gassaway Birge; daughters, Kristie (Bradley) Ferguson of Cave City, KY, Candace (Michael) Hutton of Edmonton, KY, Jessicka Birge of Glasgow, KY, and Leslee Birge of Edmonton, KY; step-daughters, Tabitha Minor of Edmonton, KY, and Shelby Smith of Horse Cave, KY; sisters, Betty (Johnny) Williams of Scottsville, KY and Helen Turner of Franklin, KY; brothers, James Birge of Westmoreland, TN, Ricky (Brenda) Birge of TN, and Tommy Birge of  Scottsville, KY; 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Turner, Delbert Birge, Wayne Birge, and infant twin sisters.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in the Hutton Memorial Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00-8:00 pm and will continue Wednesday morning after 8:00 am until time for service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
