On December 19th, friends, coworkers, and members of the community came together at the chamber office to wish Elizabeth “Beth” Wilson a fond farewell as the Supervisor of the 911 Dispatch Center in Edmonton.
She has worked for 30 years making sure the citizens of this county have the emergency help they need in times of crisis. She has been there through floods, tornados, fires, and devastating accidents helping to coordinate the emergency services taking care of Metcalfe’s residents.
Beth may be retiring from the emergency services telecommunication center, but she isn’t sitting still. She has already taken a position with the Metcalfe County High School and will now be helping the youth of the community.
I’m sure we will all miss her, but she has trained a great group of people to carry on at the Edmonton-Metcalfe 911 Dispatch. We all wish Beth great success in her new job!
