The 2024 Patriot’s Pen essay contest winners were recognized during a joint Veteran’s Day program hosted by Metcalfe County Middle School and Metcalfe County High School.
Conducted nationwide, the VFW-sponsored youth essay competition gives 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students the opportunity to express their opinions on a patriotic theme and improve their writing skills while competing for awards and prizes. The theme for 2024-2025 is “My Voice in America’s Democracy.”
