Story hour took on a spooky twist Tuesday, October 27, as the Butler County Library welcomed little ones for a fun-filled Halloween party!
Children arrived dressed in their favorite costumes, bringing plenty of Halloween spirit to the library. Among the costumed guests were Woody and Buzz, Paw Patrol, skeleton, Scooby Doo and Ghost-Spider, and you can’t forget Ms. Kathy as the Orange M&M, each adding a little extra fun and color to the celebration.
The children gathered on the library floor to play with Legos, giving them a chance to use their imaginations and build alongside their friends. After the children and parents did a wonderful job helping put everything away and the room was tidied up, they all settled in, relaxed, and enjoyed watching a Halloween movie together.
The festivities also included tasty Halloween snacks and a creative craft activity, where the children painted and made their own ghost puppets to take home.

Adding to the excitement, each child received a pumpkin generously donated by Denton Pharris with Brooklyn Produce. The pumpkins were a special treat for the young visitors and a wonderful addition to the Halloween celebration.
With a good turnout and plenty of smiles, Halloween story hour offered children an opportunity to celebrate the season, enjoy hands-on activities and make happy memories with friends at their local library.
From creative crafts to costumes and pumpkins, the Butler County Library’s Halloween party was a delightful way to bring a little extra magic to story hour.
