Michael James Cundari, Jr.

EDMONTON – Michael James Cundari Jr., 68, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home. He was born May 13, 1958, in Chicago, IL, to Michael Cundari, Sr. and the late Betty Cundari.

He was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved spending his time fishing, hunting, and exploring caves, but more than anything, he simply enjoyed being outdoors.

He is survived by his son, Jason Cundari (Megan) of Glasgow; daughter, Jennifer Thompson of Edmonton; grandchildren, Taylyn “Tater” Wright, Jayden Thompson, Aleeah Thompson, Adriana Cundari, Braxton Watson, Chase Watson, Rylan Muse; significant other, Christie Blaydes; stepdaughter, Kelsey Muse (Grayson); brothers, Phillip Cundari, Bobby Cundari and Jackie Cundari; and one sister, Laura Zakowski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Cundari will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in the Hubbard Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 8:00 AM Friday until time of the service here at the funeral home.
