Willie Joe Adwell

GLASGOW – Willie Adwell, 83, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 25, 2026, at TJ Samson Hospital. He was the son of the late Veachel Adwell and Lula Mae Martin Adwell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Peggy Denton Adwell; his little dog, Snowball; special friend, Cindy Smith; seven brothers, Howard Adwell (Linda), Larry Adwell (Doris), Doug Adwell (Robin), Veachel Adwell (Donna), Terry Adwell (Allison), Jerry Adwell (Paula), and Bruce Adwell (Lisa); two sisters, Carolyn Perkins (Donnie), Margaret Kinslow. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Haskel “Hack” Adwell and Paul Adwell, and sister, Sandra Burris.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in the Bon Ayr Cemetery. Visitation will 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday and after 8:00 a.m. on Monday until the time of service.
