Jerry Roger Peek

EDMONTON – Jerry Roger Peek, 78, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Metcalfe County to the late Homer and Mable Smith Peek. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Edward Peek.

Jerry was a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time in his garden, and could often be found piddling around in his garage. Whether he was working on a lawnmower or finding something that needed fixing, he was the happiest staying busy and working his hands.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Wanda Peek of Edmonton; children, Linda Denton (Allen), Tammatha Grant (Wayne), and Jerri Faye Jessie (Ryan); grandchildren, Tyler Bragg, Sarah Asbury, Timmy Wray, Joshua Grant, and Jarrett Denton; and special nephews, Paul Pruitt and Jason Pruitt. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Peek will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday and after 8:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service here at the funeral home.
