Ruth Ann Spann

GLASGOW – Ruth Ann Davis Spann went home to be with Jesus on August 6, 2026, at the age of 85. Born April 9, 1941, in Glasgow, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Warren W. Davis and Phoebe Coleman Davis. She was attending Highland Hills Community Church.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky (Melissa) Spann and Terry (Shiena) Spann; seven grandchildren, Alissa (Darien) Byrd, Robert (Julie) Spann, Cody Spann, Dakota (Kayla) Spann, Trenton Spann, Russell (Jessica) Bush and Dalton Bush; one sister, Barbara Sue Simmons; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howard Spann Jr. (Bobby); seven sisters, Bessie Chapman, Eva Scott, Jean Frazier, Mildred Jones, Marien Goode, Dorothy Houchens, and Shirley May Davis; three brothers, Rascoe Davis, Warren Davis, and Joe Davis.

Funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time for services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
