Shane Blake Smith

GLASGOW – Shane Blake Smith, 49, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Shane was born in Glasgow, and most of his adult life was spent as a construction worker in the home improvement industry.

Shane is survived by his parents, Randal and Wanda Smith of Glasgow; three brothers, his twin, Steven Smith of Edmonton; Timothy Smith of Tompkinsville, and Joe Smith (Emily) of Glasgow (who are also twins); four nieces and nephews, Clayton Smith, Rebecca Smith, Nora Smith, and Lydia Smith; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 o 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to BRAWA.
