Margie Brown Reed

EDMONTON – Margie Brown Reed, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at NHC Healthcare. She was born May 31, 1938, to the late Roy and Leava Fields Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Payne Brown, and her sisters, Patsy Harper and Murriel Wilson.

Margie was a member of the Edmonton Worship Center, where her faith was an important part of her life. She was the widow of Radford Edward Reed, who passed away on March 10, 2026. Their love and life together will forever remain a treasured part of her story.

Margie found joy in the simple things in life. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and making crafts, often creating beautiful things with her own hands. She also loved working in her flower beds around her home. Above all, Margie treasured the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by four children, Steve (Alicia) Reed, Danny (Janet) Reed, Ronnie (Laura) Reed, all of Edmonton, and Russ (Allison) Reed of Glasgow; grandchildren, Matt (Mattie) Reed, Jonathan (Kelly) Reed, Ashley (Nick) Firkins, Brittany Reed (Justin Graves), Nathaniel Reed, Jerrica (Christian) Stanley, Annika Reed, Danielle Nunn, and Olivia (Trey) Curry; great-grandchildren, Marley and Mollie Reed, Jake and Nash Firkins, Sutton and Salem Graves, Silas and Elijah Stanley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Margie Reed will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 8:00 AM Saturday until time of the service.
