Mary Margie Furkin

WILLOW SHADE – Mary Margie Willis Furkin, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital with her family by her side. Margie was born on February 28, 1936, in Dubree, KY, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Maymie White Willis. Mrs. Furkin was a retired Assembly line worker for Mallory’s of Glasgow, and she loved her hummingbirds, bird watching, and watching any type of Western show on her TV. She was a member of Waterview Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy (Vickie) Furkin, Jeff (Jackie) Firkin; one daughter, Mitzi Martin (Ricky Geralds); a bonus daughter, Lecia Pruitt; grandchildren, Heath, Ashley, Seth, Ryan, Chris, Kasey, Kristy, Felichia, Summer; along with 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Roger (Rita) Willis, Larry (Bonnie) Willis, Jerry (Glenda) Willis, Carol Garmon, Doneda Rich, Barbara (Bobby) Pierce, Gaye Stailey, and Kathy (Doug) Flutty; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Furkin; one daughter, Joy Furkin Jessie; and three brothers, Jimmy, Malcolm, and Donald.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in Beaumont Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am until time for service.
