Brittney Nichole McCoy
RANDOLPH – Brittney Nichole McCoy, age 39, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at her home. Brittney was born at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow on July 31, 1986, the daughter of Jeff and Amanda (Bartley) Cornelius. She was a 2004 graduate of Monroe County High School and attended Western Kentucky University for nursing. Brittney worked for TJ Samson Community Hospital as a family resident coordinator. She loved being a mom, spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed cooking for everyone, and taking pictures for the memories. Brittney was known for her infectious smile and loved living life.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of sixteen years, Ethan McCoy; three children, Ava James Ballard, Emilee Jade McCoy, and Timothy Gage McCoy, all of Edmonton; one brother, Bradley Cornelius and Morgan; maternal grandfather, Bobby J. Bartley; paternal grandmother, Nell Gerald; and mother-in-law, Cindy McCoy; two sisters-in-law, April McCoy and Torie Hatton; one brother-in-law, Shathan McCoy; and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Paulette Bartley; father-in-law, Timothy McCoy; and grandfather, Jim Grider.
Funeral Services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in the Randolph Cemetery. Kevin Dyer will officiate the services.
Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning after 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m., noon at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her children’s education fund; please make checks payable to Ethan McCoy.
