Rondel “Chatter” Alexander Scott,
EDMONTON – Rondel “Chatter” Alexander Scott, 87, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Cumberland County, KY, on June 22, 1939, to the late Homer and Ruth Scott. Chatter was of the Methodist Faith and was retired as a self-employed concrete operator. He had a great passion for riding horses and mules, and loved coon hunting. Chatter loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty five years, Patsy Anderson Scott; four children, Anderia Decker, Rhonda Anderson (Jared), Chad Burks (Megan), Samatha Gilbert (Buddy); two step children, Leslie Smith (Mike) and Libby Burris (David Shaw); fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Scott (JoAnn); one sister, Sherry Lee; three brothers-in-law, Freddie Anderson (Lisa), Lonnie Anderson, and Ronnie Anderson (Terri); several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, Chatter is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Rondel Scott, and one great-grandson, Tristen Coomer.
In accordance with Chatter’s wishes, cremation has been honored, and no services are scheduled at this time. McMurtrey Funeral Home in Summer Shade is assisting the family.
